These terms are an agreement between you and Palmastra (Palmastra Limited, registration in progress) for your use of the Palmastra app and website. By using Palmastra you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
1. What Palmastra is
Palmastra calculates astrology charts, analyses palm photos and writes readings for entertainment and self-reflection. Readings describe tendencies and possibilities. They are not facts or predictions, and they are not medical, psychological, legal, financial or safety advice. Please don't make important decisions based only on a reading. For those, talk to a qualified professional.
2. Who can use it
You must be 18 or older. You're responsible for the accuracy of the birth details you enter, and you should only add other people's details if you have a good reason to and they wouldn't object.
3. Your account
Keep your password safe. You're responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time in the app or using our account deletion page.
4. Subscriptions
- Some features need a Premium subscription. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Subscriptions bought in the app are billed by Apple or Google and renew automatically until you cancel in your store account settings. Web subscriptions are billed by Stripe and can be cancelled in the app.
- Any free trial is shown clearly before you start, and we remind you before it ends.
- Refunds for app store purchases follow Apple's or Google's policies. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (NZ), the Australian Consumer Law or other consumer protection law that applies to you.
5. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the service. That includes trying to break or overload it, reading other people's data, using it to harass anyone, scraping it, or using readings to scare or pressure people.
6. Your content
You keep ownership of the details and photos you add. You give us permission to process them only to provide the service to you, as described in our privacy policy.
7. Our content
The app, its design, code, knowledge base and readings belong to us or our licensors. You can use readings for your own personal purposes.
8. AI-written readings
Readings and chat answers are written by AI from calculated chart data and palm findings. They can be wrong or incomplete. Planet positions are calculated in code and are accurate, but interpretation is a matter of tradition, not science.
9. Availability
We work to keep Palmastra running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error free. We may change or stop features, and we'll give notice of major changes where we reasonably can.
10. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for decisions you make based on readings, or for indirect or consequential loss. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. This doesn't affect rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded.
11. Ending
You can stop using Palmastra and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. If you live elsewhere, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live.
